Quest Behavioral Health is a dual diagnosis and mental health treatment provider. Demand Studio led a positioning refresh, built admissions playbooks, and rolled out multi-touch attribution across paid and organic channels.
The starting state
Quest Behavioral Health had a strong clinical offering in dual diagnosis (co-occurring substance use and mental health) but was positioned generically as a rehab, which put them in competition with much larger substance-use-only operators. Multi-touch attribution wasn't in place, which meant the marketing team was making budget decisions on last-click data that systematically under-credited the top-of-funnel channels.
What we built
- Dual diagnosis positioning — website, campaigns, and admissions scripts repositioned around the specific value proposition of integrated care.
- Admissions playbooks — updated intake scripts and counselor cadence specifically for dual diagnosis inquiries, which have a different clinical conversation than pure substance use.
- Multi-touch attribution rollout — moved reporting from last-click to a multi-touch model, revealing which upper-funnel channels were actually driving downstream admits.
- Referral network outreach — targeted outreach to psychiatric providers and hospital discharge planners who see the highest volume of dual-diagnosis referrals.
The outcome
Repositioning and multi-touch attribution together shifted where the marketing team invested spend. Channels previously seen as "not producing" (upper-funnel awareness campaigns) turned out to be driving a meaningful portion of admits via longer decision cycles. The clinical positioning also improved conversion at the assessment stage — prospective clients arrived understanding what dual diagnosis treatment meant and why it fit their situation.
